The talk of the NFL Scouting Combine (Quarterback Specific) has been Cam Newton. But on March 1st Greg McElroy also wanted to talk about Cam Newton and what he said was more surprising than his Draft Stock. The Future 5th Round 154 Pick (His highest place on any Mock Draft) told reporters (Dan Patrick) that he is better prepared to play in the NFL right now than Cam Newton."Obviously my talent has a much lower talent ceiling than Cam's," McElroy said. "That's fair, and I respect and understand that. But i don't think I'm the only guy in the NFL that might have that same problem. I don't think Peyton Manning is athleic as Cam." Those are some wise words from the future 5th Round 154 Pick. He also pointed out that he is more experienced in a Pro-Style Offense and has a better ability to drop back from under center an make good reads on the defense before the snap of the ball. He aslo stated that he won a National Championship and was 24-3 as a starter at Alabama. "As far as understanding and processing information . . . five years down the road will he be a more productive player than me? That remains to be seen," McElroy said. All i can is that it will have to be seen an not spoken McElroy.
